Songkran is the biggest water party on the planet. Millions of people go out and soak everybody they can get between 10th and 15th April all over Thailand, especially along the old moat in Chiang Mai.

Pouring water over your friends and family is done as a blessing that washes away bad karma from the last year and brings joy and happiness for the new year. It is one of the most important festivals in Southeast Asia.

Established in October 1996, Wacky Wet World was created by the web designers of Intereliant.com as a protest against Internet censorship. Rather than showing adult content, they did the opposite and published some photos of fully clothed people, but soaking wet.

It turned out to be a great success with our readers. Starting with a single page it soon became the market leader of the wetlook fashion scene serving over 100,000 unique visitors a month. By bringing together water sport and outdoor fans this site serves as a hub for a global community of people who enjoy a more interesting style of swimwear.
